My Story
Hi! I'm Mary.
I have struggled with my weight my entire life. The timeline of my life was measured by the number on the scale. I was over 100 pounds by 6th grade and 208 when I graduated high school. I spent most of my twenties at 315. I had weight loss surgery at 431 pounds after losing 34 pounds during the 'fasting preparation'. I quit using the wls tool at about 270 pounds. I joined WW (formerly known as Weight Watchers) January of 2019 at 333 pounds. Today, I know why this is important. I am tired of living life on the sidelines. I am tired of missing roller coaster thrill rides and I am tired of living behind this body. I was meant for more. You were meant for more.
This time my journey is different because I finally realized the choices I make are mine and mine alone. I am not perfect and I learned that being perfect is not required. I finally abandoned the get thin quick ideals and focused on developing a lifestyle I can live the rest of my life. One of my tools is WW as I count Freestyle Points, but let me assure you,. I am not saying WW is the only way to weigh less. I believe the majority of my struggle were the things I didn't know and the words I would tell myself. Let me help you. Let's make this year your final journey and let us start filling our timeline with memories we enjoy throughout life rather than what we did when we weighed a certain number.
